  • LAWYERS

    David Yun - Lawyer, co-Founder

David completed his JD with high honours at Michigan State University College of Law, where he attended on an academic scholarship. He worked at the Tax Division of the Department of Justice as a law student where he acquired an appetite for tax law, an area of practice he continues to develop.

David specializes in transactional work and has successfully negotiated and closed a wide range of acquisition, divestiture, and finance transactions as well as designing and executing tax-driven corporate restructurings.

David's parents have operated the same small business for thirty plus years. Having been intimately involved in the operations of the business, he is able to personally relate to business owners, their needs and the needs of their business. This has translated into a unique approach to the law that generates spectacular results for business clients.

David is an avid basketball fan (an NBA 'guru', actually). He enjoys playing golf, basketball and baseball, but not so much now that he's married.

David is fluent in English and Korean.

    Christine Fard - Lawyer, co-Founder

Christine is admitted to the New York State Bar and the Ontario Bar. She completed her LLB degree with First Class Honours (Summa Cum Laude) at the London School of Economics. During her legal studies, she was the recipient of many awards, including the Sweet and Maxwell Prize for Outstanding Performance, the highest results in Corporate Insolvency Law and the Blackstone Chambers Prize for Best Performance in Public Law. She was also Deputy Editor of the LSE SU Law Review.

Prior to co-founding Lumen LLP, Christine has worked in a wide range of areas, including corporate, commercial, tax, and intellectual property law. She also served as Vice-President on the board of directors of a Toronto condominium corporation and as president of the FF Foundation, a development organization that manages projects to alleviate poverty and safeguard the environment.

Christine is fluent in English and Filipino, and conversant in Spanish and French.
